Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Helper at The Taste of Northern China Restaurant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen. Your duties will include:
- Packaging take-out food items
- Portioning and wrapping foods according to restaurant standards
- Assisting in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items
- Stocking refrigerators and salad bars with necessary ingredients
- Utilizing manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
- Receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in designated areas
- Disposing of kitchen garbage and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace
- Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors
- Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit as required
