It will be up to you to set up and clean the bar, including washing glasses. You may also be asked to collect payment for drinks using cash, credit cards, or debit cards, serve guests, and explain the ingredients in cocktails. Furthermore, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, recording and balancing beverage sales, storing beverage and food goods, placing orders for bar stock, and monitoring inventory levels.
Our ideal applicant will have worked in a related field for at least a year and have a diploma from an accredited secondary institution or substantial relevant work experience instead of formal education. You should also be competent to enforce provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations and hold a certificate in Safe Food Handling.
Candidate must be a team player, have strong oral communication skills, take the initiative to get things done, be well organized, and be dependable. Physical exertion is required, and workers must stand for extended shifts.
