Job Requirements Home Support Worker:
Your duties as a Home Support Worker will include providing bedside and personal care to clients in their homes, dispensing medications as prescribed by a healthcare provider, helping clients with personal hygiene tasks like bathing, grooming and dressing, and using the bathroom. You will also need to help the householder get regular exercise by going on walks and other similar activities, do light housekeeping and cleaning tasks like washing dishes, vacuuming, and dusting, and run errands like getting groceries and other household supplies when needed. You will also be responsible for preparing and providing healthy meals to clients, keeping detailed records of their care and growth, and adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations.
Experience in home care or a similar profession is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration for the Home Support Worker position. You should be able to operate independently and as part of a team, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be familiar with basic personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and using the lavatory. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds, have a driver’s licence and access to a car, pass a background check, and be prepared to follow instructions and adjust to new circumstances.

Home Support Worker Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical requirements for this employment include being able to stand for up to an hour at a time, sit for long periods of time, and lift up to 20 pounds (9 kg). Timeliness, dependability, adaptability, organisation, and reliability are all qualities that would make you a good fit for this role. Parking is free at Dil Gujral, and public transit is convenient.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $21.00, rising to $21.50 an hour with experience. You’ll be working anywhere from 30 to 35 hours a week, spread over day, night, and morning shifts.
